On 3 February 2016, the Peace Meditation Choir was invited to perform songs by Sri Chinmoy dedicated to the UN and peace at a programme honouring World Interfaith Harmony Week, held in UN Conference Room 1 . The initiative of H.E. Mr. Nassir Abdulaziz, UN High Representative for the Alliance of Civilizations, in partnership with the Committee of Religious NGOs, was entitled “Interfaith Harmony: Implementing the Transformative Agenda of the Sustainable Development Goals”.
